I’m Maria Melissa Acintya, but please do call me Cintya.. I was born in Surabaya 18 year ago.. I was born under the influence of Aries constellation.. and I’m an only child.

I like to do a lot of things.. I love to read, mostly novels, or short stories.. I don’t have any certain favorite genre.. I could be reading a Road Dahl, or Kate diCamillo, or Astrid Lingern novel in a day, and on the other day, you’ll see me reading  Elizabeth Kostova’s ‘The Historian’ or Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’.. *lol*. I’ll read whatever stories that perked my interest up.. I’m reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen for now..
Yes, I do enjoy reading English novels.. but that doesn’t mean I don’t like Indonesian novels.. I do, if the story is interesting enough..

Beside reading, I also like music. Not only listening to it but also being a part of it. I love singing (especially in a choir), and I enjoy playing the piano (even though I’m not good at it yet. lol).. I love classical music. But I also don’t mind listening to jazz, pop, rock, or any kind of music, as long as it’s enjoyable..

I love writing too! lol. And I have to admit, writing in English is much more enjoyable.. because sometimes, some terms in English describe things better.. I still love Bahasa Indonesia, no need to worry about that..

Apa lagi yaaa? Hmm.. I’m a random person.. I love turqoise and gray.. blah blah blah..

Why I joined English Literature & Culture department? Tha’s because I love learning foreign language.. And English, being the first international language, helps a lot in learning foreign languages.. For example, I’m learning Italian from a friend in Italy, and (obviously) we used English in the learning process..

I love making quotes then write them down in my notes.. lol
